Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you forward an email to Showcast, we receive and process:

• Your sender email address — stored with your Lineup so we can reply to you.
• The forwarded email content — read to extract artists, venues, and show dates. We do not keep the raw email body after processing; we store a SHA-256 hash of the inbound message for deduplication only.
• Derived artist and show data — names, venues, dates, and Spotify links assembled into your Lineup.

Why we use it

We use this information to:

• Send you a reply email with a link to your Lineup.
• Deduplicate repeat forwards of the same email so we do not process duplicates unnecessarily.
• Assemble and display your Lineup — artist cards, show dates, and listening links.

Third-party processors

Showcast relies on the following services to operate. Each may process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Postmark — inbound and outbound email delivery.
• Supabase — database hosting for Lineups and derived data.
• Anthropic — large-language-model processing (see below).
• Spotify — artist search and top-track links.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Sentry — error monitoring.
• Axiom — operational logging.
• Langfuse — LLM observability.

Automated processing with AI

To extract artists and venues from your forwarded email, we send the email content to Anthropic, a large-language-model provider. Anthropic processes the text to identify acts and show details; we do not use your email content to train models.

Retention

Lineups persist indefinitely and are not hard-deleted. If you would like a Lineup removed, contact us at info@showcast.events.

Public Lineup links

Each Lineup has a unique, unguessable URL. Anyone with the link can view the page — treat it like a shareable link. Do not forward your Lineup URL to people you do not want to see it.
